Fall Fundraising Campaign

“We believe that music has the capability to change lives. It is more than simply notes on a page or sounds in the air. It is a tool of empowerment. Your donations directly support our ability to make this happen for the more than 2,500 Oakland youth we currently serve.” – David Morales, Artistic Director

Honoraria Supporting our Orchestra

The December holidays are filled with memories of those who have played a unique supporting role in our lives. As is our tradition at this season, we invite you to publicly remember and honor someone who has shaped your life!

With your contribution of $250, you may include a sentence, brief phrase or quote, along with your name and the name of the honoree, in our December Holiday Concert program.

Your donation will help offset the concert’s orchestra expenses.

Deadline: Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Cantare Community: Introducing Principal John Stangl & Grant Administrator Susie Lundy

“I’ve always believed music has a place in our schools,” says John. “It’s fun, engaging, and brings students into class. It inspires students to learn about different cultures, and the history of different cultures. It’s so important to provide ways for students to connect to their history.” –John Stangl

“[Cantare] are a cut above the rest in terms of centering the young person and exploring physical ways of understanding the content with children. I am so grateful for the ways that they consider the whole school ecosystem, thinking creatively and inclusively to center parents and whole family networks in their music programs.” –Susie Lundy
