Cantare’s Chorale, Chamber Ensemble and Nova, accompanied by full orchestra, present Cantare’s annual December Holiday Concert. Sacred Serenity & Bombastic Brilliance

The Chorale, accompanied by full orchestra, will perform two contrasting 20th century works: Maurice Duruflé’s lush and serene setting of the Requiem and William Walton’s exceedingly thrilling Belshazzar’s Feast. Both works illustrate Hope & Resilience in challenging times coupled with a path forward.

Cantare’s children’s and youth choirs unite from across Oakland for their first concert of the year. Join us for a joyous celebration with opportunities for you to join in the singing. Featuring Nova, and Music Stars choirs of Cleveland, Franklin, La Escuelita, Laurel, Lincoln, Melrose Leadership Academy and Piedmont Ave Elementary Schools.

This season-closing concert celebrates our unity and connection to one another. Music Stars choirs of Cleveland, Franklin, La Escuelita, Laurel, Lincoln, Melrose Leadership Academy and Piedmont Ave Elementary Schools join with Nova to celebrate and share their musical achievements of the 2024-25 school year and season.
